Providence Recruiting Guide to the Second July 2017 Live Evaluation Period

The second July live evaluation period has arrived and the Providence coaching staff will be out and about stalking down talented future Friars all across the country over the next few days. A live evaluation period meansĀ college coaches are allowed to attend and evaluate recruits at certified events. This particular evaluation period begins on July 19th at 5pm and is active through 5pm on July 23rd. To read about why the July live periods are so crucial for recruiting, check out this excellent article by Rob Dauster at College Basketball Talk. With all three major shoe company circuits holding their finals events during the first live period, the second live period features more camp events, as well as some more traditional grassroots tournaments with pool and bracketed play all starting and ending this week/weekend.

As I traditionally do eachĀ spring and summer, I’ll be providing a guide for fans to follow along and see where Providence’s targets are playing during a given live evaluation period. This post will be updated as the weekend goes on and more information is known. The name of the assistant next to the player’s name indicates who the lead assistant is for that player and does not necessarily mean that coach will be at that event
Note: All teams are 17U unless otherwise noted.

Victor Oladipo Skills Academy 7/19-7/21

The camp has activities like yoga, workouts with Oladipo and friends and breaks the players up into teams for practices and games.
