Providence lost out on one of the top shooters in the 2018 class when Noah Locke committed to Mike White and Florida on Instagram Live Tuesday night. Locke took official visits to Ohio State, Providence, Xavier, Michigan and finished it off by tripping to Florida this past weekend.
The Gators also added another top guard to their 2018 recruiting haul on Monday night, so the bright side for the Friars is that likely means Florida is no longer a threat for 2018 David Duke. Duke recently took visits to Florida and Virginia Tech and will be at Villanova this weekend. Duke is expected to also choose a school this month. The Friars currently have two open scholarships left for the 2018 class.

That’s where recruiting comes in.

I got lots of questions about Providence native and top 2018 recruiting target David Duke. Let’s start there…
Tim C. asks:
Updates on David Duke? When should we expect a decision? Are the Friars still the front runners after he scheduled official visits to Florida and Virginia Tech?
