Providence Recruiting Guide to the Second April 2017 Live Evaluation Period

The second and final live recruiting period of April is here to close out the live evaluation periods until July. Providence’s coaches were at all of the major shoe company events last weekend between Hampton, VA, Dallas, TX and NYC. Week two of the Nike EYBL will be in Indianapolis and they are joined in Indy by Under Armour’s Association. The adidas Gauntlet series heads to Atlanta this weekend.

As I traditionally do each spring and summer, I’ll be providing a guide for fans to follow along and see where Providence’s targets are playing during a given live evaluation period. This post will be updated as the weekend goes on and more information is known. The name of the assistant next to the player’s name indicates who the lead assistant is for that player and does not necessarily mean that coach will be at that event Notes: All teams are 17U unless otherwise noted. Record for each team is their record entering play this weekend.

EYBL Indianapolis Session 2 4/28-4/30

The Nike EYBL moves to Indianapolis for Session 2 on the road to the Peach Jam. Most of the names from the first live period here are the same but there was a new offer out to 2019 5-star 7-footer Balsa Koprivica from Serbia who runs with Nike Team Florida. You can watch some games live here.

adidas Gauntlet: Atlanta 4/28-4/30

The adidas Gauntlet series moves to Atlanta for the second live period of April. Ed Cooley and Brian Blaney were both spotted at the adidas event in Dallas last weekend and I wouldn’t expect that to change with the Mass Rivals being a team full of top Providence targets, including the newly offered 2019 big man Akok Akok. There a livestream for this event. Another note, 2018 Brewster Academy wing Sid Wilson has moved from New Heights on the UAA circuit to Castle Knights on the adidas circuit this weekend.
