Providence Recruiting Guide to the Second April 2017 Live Evaluation Period

The second and final live recruiting period of April is here to close out the live evaluation periods until July. Providence’s coaches were at all of the major shoe company events last weekend between Hampton, VA, Dallas, TX and NYC. Week two of the Nike EYBL will be in Indianapolis and they are joined in Indy by Under Armour’s Association. The adidas Gauntlet series heads to Atlanta this weekend.

As I traditionally do each spring and summer, I’ll be providing a guide for fans to follow along and see where Providence’s targets are playing during a given live evaluation period. This post will be updated as the weekend goes on and more information is known. The recruiting service bumped the rising junior class rankings from a Top 75 to a Top 100 and there proved to be little change in terms of where Providence’s recruits were ranked. A few new names were added to the mix with the additional 25 ranked spots and Providence has already cast a net over some very talented players who will be evaluated more closely in the upcoming months on the various grassroots circuits beginning on Friday.

Providence Recruiting Update: Introducing the Class of 2019

It’s September 27th and Providence has two commitments for the Class of 2017 to fill the two scholarships that were available for next year’s roster at the present. While the coaching staff hasn’t totally stopped keeping tabs on 2017 targets, much of the recruiting attention has already shifted to both the Class of 2018 and Class of 2019. As of today, pcbb1917.com now has a “Class of 2019” page. There are only 8 recruits there right now compared to over 30 on the page for the Class of 2018, so let’s take this opportunity to meet some of the players the Providence coaching staff has already identified — and offered in many cases — from the class of current high school sophomores.
