The second and final live recruiting period of April is here to close out the live evaluation periods until July. Providence’s coaches were at all of the major shoe company events last weekend between Hampton, VA, Dallas, TX and NYC. Week two of the Nike EYBL will be in Indianapolis and they are joined in Indy by Under Armour’s Association. The adidas Gauntlet series heads to Atlanta this weekend.
As I traditionally do each spring and summer, I’ll be providing a guide for fans to follow along and see where Providence’s targets are playing during a given live evaluation period. This post will be updated as the weekend goes on and more information is known. The name of the assistant next to the player’s name indicates who the lead assistant is for that player and does not necessarily mean that coach will be at that event Continue reading Providence Recruiting Guide to the Second April 2017 Live Evaluation Period

Cooley was spotted at DeMatha Catholic on Saturday and Sunday where he took in the action and specifically watched 2017 commit Nate Watson and 2018 target Hameir Wright. Watson is already in the fold and is having a very good senior season at Bishop O’Connell.

With the current roster construction and scholarship situation, Ed Cooley and his staff have 5 open scholarships for the 2018-19 season. However that doesn’t account for the potential for Providence to add at least one more player to their 2017 recruiting class.
