Providence Will Host 2015 Lorne Currie on Official Visit

UPDATE 4/9 1:57pm

It was originally reported on Wednesday that Providence was currently hosting 2015 guard Lorne Currie. It has been subsequently learned from Steve Hartnett of ScoutFriars.com that Currie has not officially visited Providence yet.

Contrary to reports, guard Lorne Currie has not yet made a visit to Providence, and the Friar staff will be on the road this weekend.

Providence will reportedly host a guard in the class of 2015 sometime in the near future. Lorne Currie is a 6’3 combo guard from Los Angeles and the original report was via Twitter on April 1st. Dinos Trigonis of the famed Pangos All-American camps tweeted the news:

Fairfax standout 6-3 2015 CG Lorne Currie will visit Providence April 8-9 & play with Belmont Shore @ Pangos SS in Vegas on April 10-12

The visit has apparently been re-scheduled since that tweet above but no date has been announced as of yet.

Currie apparently just got a good SAT score and has been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse, per a subsequent tweet from Trigonis. Currie’s offer listed on the site VerbalCommits.com are from Fresno State, Loyola Marymount and Sam Houston State.
