Providence Friarcast Episode 9: You Don’t Bleed on Purpose

This episode of the Providence Friarcast features a recap of Providence’s 2-0 MLK weekend in Big East play with the gang back together to discuss Providence’s win over DePaul on the road and their home victory over Butler on Monday. Providence vs DePaul on January 12th to be Commercial-Free, Feature Ed Cooley and Dave Leitao Mic’d Up

Providence’s game against DePaul on January 12th in Chicago will be special for being the Friars’ first trip to the new Wintrust Arena that the Blue Demons debuted this season. But it will also be special because this will be a unique production put on by Fox Sports. The game, which tips at 8:30pm ET, will air on FS1 without commercials and feature both head coaches mic’d up for the entire game. The announcers on FS1 will be Joe Davis and Len Elmore. Fox Sports experimented with this concept last season during a women’s game featuring St. John’s and Seton Hall. Highlights of that broadcast can be seen below to get a feel for the concept.
