Friartown Fan Voice Podcast: 2017-18 Season is Here!

The Friartown Fan Voice podcast (anyone have any name suggestions?) returns for the first episode of the 2017-18 season. For this episode I was joined by Chris Grenham of BigEastCoastBias.com. Chris is a 2017 Providence graduate. He covered the Friars for BECB last season and will do so again, in addition to some other NBA work he does for other SB Nation sites. On this inaugural podcast of 2017-18 Chris and I discussed the 2018 recruiting class and what that means for the future of the Providence program, a recap of the exhibition games, state of Providence injuries (Emmitt Holt, Jalen Lindsey and Drew Edwards), expectations for the three talented freshmen and a preview of the season opener against Houston Baptist.

The Friartown Fan Voice podcast returns to preview Providence’s NCAA Tournament First Four matchup with USC in Dayton. I was again joined by Brendan McGair of the Pawtucket Times. Zach Helfand of the Los Angeles Times joined to give us some insight on USC’s team and season and then we discussed the coaching job Ed Cooley did this season to get the 2016-17 team from 9th in the preseason Big East coaches poll to a fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

Friartown Fan Voice Podcast – Episode 6 – Recapping the Carelton Game with Brendan McGair of the Pawtucket Times

The third episode of the Friartown Fan Voice podcast is now live for the 2016-17 season! This episode is a recap of Providence’s exhibition game against the Carleton Ravens that was played on Saturday, October 29th at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. I was joined by Brendan McGair of the Pawtucket Times. Unlike me, Brendan was at the Dunk for the game which was not televised.

This episode is structured with a breakdown of each player’s efforts from Saturday night, a broad view of the game from the offensive and defensive sides and we finished by reacting to Ed Cooley’s postgame comments. Go ahead and give it a listen:
