Recap

  • Providence welcomed DePaul to the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Saturday afternoon for the 40th matchup between the Friars and Blue Demons all-time. In front of a sellout crowd on Alumni & Family Weekend in Friartown the Friars failed to show up. Jalen Lindsey was held out of this game with a concussion and Providence seeemd to never get in sync. DePaul led by 15 at the half and led by as many as 31 in the second half. The Blue Demons were in total control and Providence never truly threatened in the second half.
  • Providence was led by Nate Watson with 14 points on 6/7 from the field.
  • DePaul was led by Marin Maric with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
  • Providence falls to 16-9 on the season and their record in Big East play is now 7-5.
  • The Friars finish out this 3-game homestand with Villanova coming to town on Valentine’s Day. That game tips at 7:00pm on FS1.
