This win marked Providence’s first victory over a top-5 team at the Dunk since they defeated #1 Pittsburgh on February 24, 2009.
- Providence was led by Kyron Cartwright with 19 points.
- Xavier was led by Kerem Kanter with 24 points.
- Providence improves to 11-6 on the season and their record in Big East play is now 2-2.
- The Friars get a few days off before heading out to Chicago to face DePaul on Friday. That game tips at 8:30pm on FS1.
