Recap
- Providence and Creighton met for the 21st ever on Sunday in Omaha. Kyron Cartwright reinjured his ankle in the first half and it was all down hill from there. Cartwright returned to the game but wasn’t effective.
- Providence was led by Nate Watson with a career-high 20 points on 7/11 from the field. It’s troubling that Watson only managed 1 rebound in 20 minutes of action.
- Also in double figures for the Friars were Rodney Bullock (15) and Alpha Diallo (10).
- Creighton was led by Marcus Foster with 18 points on 7/14 from the field. He added 4 assists.
- Also in double figures for the Bluejays were Toby Hegner (15), Martin Krampelj (13), Davion Mintz (12) and Khyri Thomas (11).
- Providence falls to 10-5 on the season and their record in Big East play is now 1-1.
