Providence Friarcast Episode 3: Does This Team Have Grit?

This week’s episode of the Providence Friarcast features a recap of Providence’s win over Rider and loss at URI, as well as a preview of their next two games against Brown and UMass. Mike, Brendan and Chris discuss the poor second half defense against Rider, the lack of toughness and grit at URI and whether or not there will be another big celebrity sighting at the Dunk after Evander Holyfield’s appearance for the Rider game.

Oh and a special shoutout to Doug Doughty of the Roanoke Times. Keep being you, Doug.

This team does not seem to have any grit or discipline. 10 for 21 free throw shooting and 15 turnovers against URI was abysmal! When the crowd got increasingly louder at the Ryan Center you could see the panic and the immaturity of this team. I expected much more from them!
