Game Preview

Providence is coming off a bad home loss while Marquette is off an upset win over #1 Villanova. It’s been well documented that Providence has never won in Milwaukee and the current streak is 10 straight.

The probable starters according to the game notes are:

Providence
Marquette

The keys to victory for Providence are for the Friars to defend the 3-point line and make 3’s on the other end. Marquette is 3rd in the nation in 3P% at 41.9%. They have been even better in league play where they are sinking triples at a rate of 44.3%. Providence will need to make shots to win on the road. The Golden Eagles are on a high and if the Friars can come out and punch them in the mouth they have a chance to get their first ever win against Marquette in Milwaukee.

Prediction: Providence 74 Marquette 79
