Providence Athletics Hosting NBA Draft Watch Party
Providence Athletics will host an NBA Draft Watch Party on June 23rd at G Pub in downtown Providence, the department announced on it’s Twitter page. Providence has two players eligible for the 2016 NBA Draft and both appear to be locks to get drafted with Kris Dunn expected to be off the board sometime in the top 6 picks and Ben Bentil listed as a late First Round or early Second Round pick in most mock drafts.

Providence hasn’t had two players drafted in the same year since Austin Croshere went 12th overall (First Round) to the Indiana Pacers and God Shammgod went 45th overall (Second Round) to the Washington Wizards in the 1997 NBA Draft. The Friars have never had two players selected in the First Round of the NBA Draft. The 2016 NBA Draft will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and both Dunn and Ed Cooley are expected to be in attendance. There is no word yet on whether Bentil will attend the draft in Brooklyn.
