- This was a back and forth Big East battle between two of the league’s best teams.
- Kris Dunn struggled with turnovers throughout the day. He made big plays when it was needed, though. He did foul out with 16.9 seconds remaining in overtime and finished with 13 points and 14 assists. The assist number tied a career high.
- Ben Bentil carried the scoring load for the Friars. He finished with 31 points and 12 rebounds to notch the double-double.
- Ryan Arcidacono led Villanova in scoring with 19 points. The Wildcats had 4 scorers in double figures.
- The Friars return to action on Tuesday, January 26th against Xavier at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center at 8:30pm EST. The game will be televised on FS1.

Deep fryahs!
Providence was able to win yesterday at the Wells Fargo Center because they shot the ball well from 3 point range. If they can do that on a regular basis they will be a dangerous club going forward into March. Glad to see Fazekas hit down a big basket that kid needs confidence. Lomombda continues to do great things and Drew Edwards will be a great player moving forward in the program.
