Providence Recruiting Update: Friar Staff to Attend St. Andrew’s Holiday Classic

Providence coaches get another in-season opportunity to stay close to home but still be hot on the recruiting trail. This weekend St. Andrew’s hosts their annual Holiday Classic with a number of Providence recruits scheduled to play games at the Barrington school’s gym on Friday and Saturday. Cox Hub will also have live streams of 3 Friday games. The Friars are still working on 2016 recruits and Chuba Ohams of Putnam Science Academy told HoopSeen.com last week that Providence is one of the schools working hardest for the 6’7 versatile wing player from NYC. Ohams attended Providence’s Elite Camp in August and was also on hand for the Late Night Madness festivities back in mid-October. As you can see below, the majority of the Providence recruits that will be taking the court this weekend are from the classes of 2017 and 2018, however. There is certainly plenty of talent in the New England prep ranks over the next few years. It’s about time the Friars started reeling in some players from these NEPSAC schools.
