Rodney Bullock Named to Weekly Big East Honor Roll

Week 2 of the Big East Weekly Awards were released on November 23rd and Providence was represented again. A week after Kris Dunn was named the Big East Player of the Week it was Rodney Bullock that received accolades from the league. Bullock joined Roosevelt Jones (Butler), Isaac Copeland (Georgetown), Desi Rodriguez (Seton Hall) and Trevon Bluiett (Xavier) on the week 2 Honor Roll. Josh Hart (Villanova) was named Player of the Week and Yankuba Sima (St. John’s) was named Freshman of the Week.

Bullock has started off the season with a bang. He has been either the top scorer or the second top scorer in all of the Friars’ games this season, including 18.8 points per game in the two wins this past week that garnered him this accolade. Bullock has also been a top rebounder for Providence through 3 games and averaged 8.5 rebounds/game last week against Illinois and Brown. This figures to be the first of many Big East honors going Bullock’s way should he continue to play like he has to start the 2015-16 season.
