Kris Dunn Named to 2015 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award Watch List

With LaDontae Henton being named to the watch list of the inaugural Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award earlier this week another Providence Friar is getting some recognition by the Naismith Hall of Fame. Kris Dunn has been named as one of 16 finalists for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award which is presented by College of Holy Cross.

“The 16 athletes on this list represent the most dedicated and skillful point guards in college basketball,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame.  “They exhibit many of the characteristics that made Mr. Cousy such a successful player and we are pleased to be recognizing them for their accomplishments as well as to thank College of Holy Cross for their sponsorship support.”

Like the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award, this Cousy Award finalist will be whittled down to a final 5 in early March and the winner will be presented with the award on April 10th during ESPN’s College Basketball Awards show on ESPN2 at 8pm from Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA.
