Bracketology Update 1/19/15

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm have both updated their brackets after the weekend of games. Lunardi last updated his bracket on January 15th and Palm on January 16th. Both had 7 Big East teams in their field of 68 heading into the weekend. Let’s see where the Big East stands now.

Here is a breakdown of Lunardi’s latest bracket:

• Villanova – #1 seed in the South Region
• Seton Hall – #5 seed in the East Region
• Providence – #6 seed in the Midwest Region
• Butler – #6 seed in the South Region
• Georgetown – #7 seed in the East Region
• Xavier – #10 seed in the West Region
• St. John’s – First Four Out

Lunardi also released his “Bracket Math” today so we can see exactly where each team fits on their seed line. Here is the Big East “Bracket Math”:

• Villanova – #3 – 3rd 1 seed
• Seton Hall – #20 – 4th 5 seed
• Providence – #21 – 1st 6 seed
