Bracketology Update 1/16/15

Despite being the middle of January the bracketologists have been firing off updated brackets seemingly every other day. In the case of CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm that’s exactly what he did with updated brackets on Wednesday and Friday this week. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi updated his Thursday this week.

Here is a breakdown of Palm’s latest bracket:

  • Villanova – #1 seed in the South Region
  • Seton Hall – #5 seed in the Midwest Region
  • Butler – #7 seed in the East Region
  • Providence – #8 seed in the Midwest Region
  • Butler – #8 seed in the East Region
  • St. John’s – #10 seed in the South Region
  • Georgetown – #11 seed in the Midwest Region
  • Xavier – #11 seed in the East Region

The only real changes between Palm’s January 14th and 16th brackets are Butler jumping up from an 8 seed to a 7, Providence slipping from a 7 seed to an 8 after losing to St. John’s and Xavier moving into a solid #11 seed and no longer being in the “Last Four In” category.
