Kris Dunn is Big East Player of the Week after Triple Double

Kris Dunn has been named Big East Player of the Week for the second time this season. The first time was 3 weeks ago. Dunn’s 2nd honor marks the 4th time this season a Friar has received this honor with LaDontae Henton being named Big East POW on November 24th and January 26th.

Dunn averaged 25.0 points/game, 8.5 rebounds/game, 6.5 assists/game last week. Included in that average is a triple double against DePaul on January 29th. Dunn also scored 23 points against St. John’s on January 31st at Madison Square Garden. Providence went 1-1 last week.

Dunn has been playing extremely well of late and has scored 20 or more points in each of his last 4 games. He is averaging 18.4 points/game, 8.0 assists/game, 7.3 rebounds/game and 1.9 steals/game in Big East play. Dunn leads the Big East in assists and steals and leads the Friars in rebounding. He also ranks 4th in the nation in assists and 12 in steals.
